Soochipara Waterfalls, also known as the Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, is a three-tiered waterfall located in Vellarimala, Wayanad. This waterfall, surrounded by deciduous, evergreen, and montane forests, is widely regarded as one of the best. This enchanting waterfall is 200 meters high and features a cliff face ideal for rock climbing. Furthermore, because the waterfall’s water forms a large pool, it is suitable for swimming and bathing. The best time to visit this natural wonder is during the monsoon season, as the waterfall is dry during the summer and closed to tourists from March to June. During the monsoon season, tourists can enjoy the rich flora and fauna, as well as the hills and valleys that surround the Soochipara Falls.
Tips For Visiting Soochipara Waterfalls
1. Because the waterfall is one of the most environmentally friendly places, visitors should avoid bringing plastic bags or other items that could pollute the environment. Guards at the waterfall’s entry point will check to see if tourists are carrying any plastic. If someone brings water bottles inside, they must deposit INR 50 per bottle and collect the corresponding tag. When returning, the tag must be shown, and the money will be refunded.
2. Visitors are not permitted to consume alcohol or any other substance during their trip to the waterfalls.
3. Follow the rules and guidelines established by the guides there.
4. Visitors will be provided with meals and transportation if the necessary personnel are notified ahead of time and paid an additional fee for their services.

How To Reach Soochipara Falls
You can get to the waterfalls by hiring a cab and having it drop you off at the waterfall’s entry point, or by taking the public bus up to a point near the waterfall. You can drive all the way to the waterfall. However, because the roads are not in good condition, no public transport is permitted until the waterfalls’ entry point. This is why you must walk or trek for approximately 2 kilometers from there to reach your destination. To reach the waterfall, you must climb approximately 50-70 stairs. Trekking is simple and takes approximately 30 minutes one way.
